Presented for auction is this brass pyrene 1-quart fire extinguisher. This fire extinguisher is empty! For those of you that asked, i have added a second picture! Please, please, ask to see more pictures, this is an excellent example of whta this fire extinguisher should look like! I believe this fire extinguisher fits on the wiwi era ford gpw or willys mb jeep.
It is the 14 long by 3 in diameter. This is the frie extinguisher that was mounted on the divers side cowl of every wwii era military jeep.
If you are restoring an old ford gpw or willys mb jeep, you may need tihs part and you would be hard pressed to find a better example. These were also used in the rear of some cargo trucks, staff cars, and may have been used on some motor cycles.
It is free of any dents and has beautiful patina. It has just a few corrosion specks. There are also soem light scratches and light pain chipping. The largest paint chip is lses than the size of a dime and it is on the back side. It has aged very well. It has 2 patent dates. A copy of both patent drawings will eb included.
